The interesting attractions in the city are mostly related to Buddhist cultures. The greatest ceremony and the most attractive one is the Rockets Festival. It is a ceremony held to welcome a rainy season. It is such as a competition of making floats. It is a great festival followed by most people in Thailand. All competitors show their capability, creativity and prestige by making floats as great and wonderful as possible. Then the floats will be brought surround the city in a parade and it is completed by kinds of dance from beautiful girls of Thailand. In north and west Kanchanaburi, the terrain is characterize mainly by mountains and high plains, with the Thanon Thongchai Range as a natural border between Thailand and Myanmar. The range is the source of Kanchanaburi’s two most important and magnificent rivers called Maenam Khwae Noi and Maenam Khwae Yai. These two rivers form the famous and known Maenam Mae Klong. The two rivers resulted to an amazing view of several Thailand’s largest “Namtok” or commonly termed waterfalls.
